Its terms of service are governed by Maltese law, which places the company inside the European Union’s consumer-protection and data-protection framework. The product has a traceable history too: Candy.ai launched in 2023 as a companion chat and image service, added on-demand video under the Live Action label in 2025, and introduced the pre-produced Candy Shorts series in 2026. Because so many people search for free, leaked or uncensored versions of the series, unrelated websites borrow the brand to serve fake video players, “age verification” forms that request a card number, and downloads that contain malware. Does Candy AI have an app? App Store, Google Play and APK files

No. There is no Candy AI app in the Apple App Store and none on Google Play, because both stores’ content rules exclude adult products. The service runs in a mobile or desktop browser, can be pinned to a phone’s home screen as a progressive web app, and maintains a Discord community alongside the website. • Cancellation is done from My Profile, then Settings, at any time. Access continues to the end of the paid period, after which the account becomes a free one.
• Refunds are limited to a 24-hour window after a card payment and denied once more than 20 tokens have been used. EU and UK residents also get a 14-day right of withdrawal on the first purchase.
• Leftover tokens are uncertain: the terms say they expire with the subscription, the help center says the balance stays. Use them before cancelling.
• Chargebacks cancel the plan immediately under the terms, so dispute a charge only after checking your subscription status.

Is Candy AI private? What the policy collects and how long it keeps it

This is the weakest part of the trust picture, and it deserves a plain reading. The privacy policy lists the data collected: your email address, an encrypted password, screen name and gender, a location derived from your IP address, device and browser details, partial payment data, the result of the age check, and the content of your chats and prompts. Content flagged by moderation may be reviewed by human staff, and interactions stripped of identifiers may be used for model training.

Retention periods are long. Account data is held for three years after your last activity (one year in some cases), financial records for ten years, and marketing data for up to two. Data, including message content, flows to hosting, moderation and payment providers and to third-party language-model providers. Deletion is possible from the Danger Zone inside Settings or by writing to the privacy team at the address in the policy.

The practical distinction is between the two halves of the product. Watching a Shorts series leaves a viewing history, comparable to any streaming account. Chatting with a companion leaves a transcript on someone else’s servers, and that is the half worth thinking twice about.

Three years of retention after the last login is the number we would most like to see shortened. For a product this personal, it is the one line in the policy that reads as generous to the company rather than the user.

Is Candy AI banned anywhere?

We know of no ban in the United States or the European Union as of September 2026. The only geographic restriction on record is the operator’s own: the terms prohibit use from China and Singapore. Absence from the app stores is sometimes read as a ban, but it is a distribution choice forced by store policy, not a legal prohibition. Local law on adult content still applies wherever you are, and that responsibility sits with you rather than the platform.

The paid Candy Shorts episodes are adult content: the terms restrict the service to users 18 and over, and in most series the paid episodes are rated explicit, with nudity and sex scenes. Seven checks before you sign up

1. Type candy.ai or candyshorts.com yourself rather than following a link from a video description or a forum.
2. Use a password you use nowhere else; a reused one is the easiest route into any account.
3. Subscribe on candyshorts.com if the series are all you want, so tokens never enter the bill.
4. Read the refund clause first: 24 hours, card payments only, fewer than 20 tokens spent.
5. Write down the renewal date and cancel from Settings rather than through your bank.
6. Decide in advance whether you will use the chat side, since that is where the transcripts accumulate.
7. Ignore every app, APK, Telegram archive or “premium generator” that carries the name; none is official.
